This year I am proud to be a part of an exceptionally talented slate of Democratic candidates that will continue to bring fiscal responsibility and service to our community.

Now a 30+ year resident of unincorporated Deerfield, I grew up in the Hyde Park Neighborhood. After graduating from Grinnell College, I attended The University of Chicago Business School and then spent 45 years in the printing industry. I held titles of Salesman, Treasurer and Computer Network Administrator. I am now enjoying retirement and doing part time home computer consulting.

I have served in leadership roles with the Del Mar Woods Homeowners Association, Jewish Council for Youth Services, Camp Henry Horner, Deborah Boys Club, Albany Park Community Center and KAM Temple in Hyde Park. Working with these groups has given me valuable experience in creating responsible budgets and understanding and serving the needs of people in their communities.

I am a member of Deerfield Rotary and have been active in its community service activities as well as serving as Director and Editor of the weekly newsletter. I have also enjoyed being a part of the Conversation Club, a volunteer part of the ESL for Adults program.

I am a twice elected Democratic Committeeman and have been active in the campaigns of Local, County, State and National officeholders. As a member of the West Deerfield Township Democrats, I have actively attended meetings and worked precincts, campaign offices, in order to elect and re-elect fellow Democrats.

My wonderful wife, Susan, is a reading specialist at Evanston/Skokie School District 65. We enjoy spending time with my two sons and four grandchildren, and live harmoniously with our two dogs. My hobbies include reading, computers, cooking, travel, and making and keeping friends.
